Sara Reading is a British drum & bass artist whose musical
journey began only recently — but from the moment she started creating, the ideas haven’t
stopped flowing. A naturally imaginative person, Sara always loved the idea of writing songs,
but didn’t see how she could without being a singer.
That changed when a friend’s boyfriend released a track assisted by AI. Suddenly, the world of
music opened up — and Sara realised she could turn her ideas, experiences and creativity into
fully produced songs. Drum & Bass, the genre she’s always connected with most, became the
foundation of her sound.
Since then, she’s been in unstoppable creative flow, producing story-driven tracks inspired by
her friends’ journeys, her creative community and her everyday life. Her releases include festive
DnB tales like Gingerbread & Fairy Lights and Theo the Christmas Elf —
the latter inspired by her own son and expanded into a full illustrated picture book with a QR
link so families can read along while listening to the track.
Her debut Christmas release, Elf in the Shadows, is now available to stream, download
and add to Christmas playlists — and listeners young and old are loving it. With many songs already
created and multiple releases scheduled, her current project, What Will 2026 Bring?, explores
future culture, fashion, kids, weather and imagination through a Drum & Bass lens.
